Design is part of a larger experience, it has the ability to shape the way we interact with our surroundings. It is experiential, and event design is design-come-to-life. This concept thrills me; considering the way each part contributes to the whole and creating pieces with intentionality puts a smile on my face. When planning an event, my excitement is compounded because the created experience becomes a shared one.
Boardwalk Bash Invitation Set
Party details are revealed as the invitee rotates the dial on the invitation's front and the colorful stripes on the back show through a translucent envelope. Perforated tickets separate to send an RSVP answer: Yep or Nope! Packets of classic wax bottle candy bid the guests farewell at the end of the bash. There were carnival games, and cupcakes served in ice cream cones.
Pinterest Party
Guests to this Pinterest party were invited to bring a dish made from a recipe they had pinned on Pinterest. Each craft was laid out with instructions at different stations and guests rotated between stations to complete all the DIY projects. There was a photo wall where crafters could pose with their completed DIY projects.
