I minored in photography in art school, and while I fell in love with the art of capturing my surroundings long before that, the darkroom and the digital darkroom at school were where I honed my photography skill set. I like to think of my portrait work as the way that I maintain those skills. Regularly working with real, live people keeps me quick and sharp in creating an image. It also keeps my eyes trained to constantly look for moments that should be collected.
